"All The President's Men - the political thriller classic" - Mineola Memorial Library - Open to the public

“All The President’s Men” celebrates FIFTY years in 2026 and it hasn’t lost its cinematic impact since it premiered. Filled with tension, suspense, foreboding and personal terror, this film tells the story of two Washington Post reporters, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, sent to cover a “story of minor importance” and discover the facts that broke the Watergate scandal wide open and helped to topple the most powerful man in the world - President Richard Nixon! Attendees will learn how Robert Redford conceived the film and worked to bring it to the screen. They also will learn of the actors that were considered for various roles as well as how the the actual production of the film occurred. Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman were both at the top of their cinematic game as they slog through the web of money and intrigue that lead to the downfall of many of the most powerful people in the world - from a former Attorney General to White House Aides and the Chief of Staff. Select film highlights will be screened in the first of it’s kind presentation for Long Island! A film memorabilia, book and autograph display is included.
